11 Windows PCs located in the research alcove are available for public use. These computers are dedicated to accessing the library’s catalog, databases, electronic journals, and other internet resources. In addition, Beilstein, SciFinder Scholar, and Journal Citations Reports can be accessed from the Windows computers. Current Contents is available on Windows computer number 12. To ensure that stations are always available for searching, word processing and other office software is not available on these stations.

Special note regarding saving files: if you save a file to one of the library’s computers and you want to keep it, make sure you save it to a USB drive or email the file to yourself. Our computers automatically reset themselves periodically after being idle. Once restarted, any file you might have placed on the computer will be deleted and cannot be retrieved.
