EndNote x7 is Available!

UTHSC faculty, staff and students can download EndNote x7 from the UTK Office of Information Technology. NetID is required to download the program. Once you log in, choose Thomson Reuters as the vendor to download EndNote program. Here is an overview of EndNote x7.

EndNote x7 for Mac was released October 7, 2013.


Visible Body Now Available

The Joanna Briggs’s EBP Database is Here!

This evidence-based practice database contains recommended practices, information sheets, systematic reviews, consumer information, systematic review protocols and technical reports. You can find it on the library’s home page under the Popular Resources tab. Check it out here!


Journal Citation Reports for 2012 Publications Now Available

Journal Citation Reports allows you to evaluate and compare journals (e.g., most frequently cited journals and highest impact journals in a field) using citation data.

New Content In JoVE

Two additional sections of The Journal of Visualized Experiments are now available to UTHSC faculty, staff and students:


iReachOUT Overview and Demonstration of NIH Gallery of Apps and Sites

The University of Tennessee Health Sciences Library will present and demonstrate the National Institute of Health Gallery of Apps and Sites on Wednesday, February 27, 2013, from 12 PM – 1 PM.

The NIH Gallery of Apps and Sites provides free access via smartphones, iPads, or other tablets to information on chemicals, disease, drugs, emergencies, human development, and toxicology.

Demonstrations will include

  • PubMed Mobile
  • PubMed for Handhelds
  • Using Kindle app to save/read PDFs from PubMed Mobile
  • And much more

Faculty, staff and students borrowing an iPad from the library through April can be entered in a drawing for a chance to win an iPad case with keyboard. Brief pre and post surveys are required.

Campus Access to The Chronicle of Higher Education

Starting October 2012, all UTHSC faculty, staff, and students are able to access to the online version of The Chronicle of Higher Education. For off campus users, you will need to log in using your NetID and password.
