If you are off-campus and logged into the UTHSC VPN (virtual private network), you may discover you are unable to access library resources.
Archive for 2011
Beginning January 2012, you will have access to an additional 600 health science journals (from Wiley Publishers).
On January 1, 2012, UTHSC will no longer have access to Web of Science (WOS) because of library budgetary restrictions. We apologize for this development.
Although WOS citation indexes will no longer be available, Scopus, another citation index, is available from the library’s website under Popular Resources. Scopus offers the ability to track key citations through the world’s scientific literature.
You may have noticed that our E-Journal page has changed.
NCBI staff will give a series of Discovery Workshops at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis October 11-12, 2011. The workshops consist of four 2.5-hour hands-on training sessions emphasizing important features of NCBI resources. You may attend all or any combination of these sessions:
If you want to see full text links to library resources when you search PubMed, start your search by clicking the PubMed link under Popular Resources on the library’s home page. If you are off campus, you will be asked to log into the library. Starting from our home page activates the links in PubMed to our resources.
Access has been restored to Hurst’s The Heart and Harrison’s Online.
You can access both at the publisher’s site or through our online catalog :
We apologize for the recent inconvenience.
